Mr. Richard McClellan has over 20 years’ experience as a strategy and policy advisor. He first came to Vietnam in 2014 under the direction of Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair to lead a policy team working with the Minister of Planning and Investment on socio-economic development issues. He is a former McKinsey consultant (11 years) who was designated as a Sustainable Resource Productivity Expert for his work in agriculture and water resource management in the Middle East. In Vietnam he has worked with several provinces on provincial masterplans and tourism strategies. He has also worked with central government and NGOs on topics including circular economy, plastic waste reduction, climate change, future skills, industry 4.0, socio-economic development, and innovation and startup ecosystems. Rich received his MBA from Case Western Reserve University with emphases in strategy and policy.
