Alex Tatsis is Economic Section Chief at the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Previously, he served as Senior Vietnam Desk Officer in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the Department of State in Washington. He has also served as an Economic Officer in Kuala Lumpur, an Economic Officer in Islamabad, a Consular and Political Officer in Paris, and Political/Economic Officer in Khartoum. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, he worked in finance in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. He is married with three children. He speaks French and Greek.
