Fred Burke is a Senior Advisor of Baker McKenzie Vietnam. He has been working in Vietnam for over 30 years, prior to which he practiced with the Firm in China and New York. He is well recognized for his work on foreign investment projects for key players in the renewable energy sector and has assisted leading global solar and wind energy companies through all aspects of project development, financing, construction and operation. He has extensive experience working closely with Vietnamese legislators and drafters of legislation on the many new laws and decrees that have been introduced to integrate Vietnam into the global economy.
He is currently a member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on Administrative Reform in Vietnam, and Alternative Representative of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Vietnam Business Forum. A founding board member of AmCham in Vietnam, he also serves as vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Business Association in Vietnam.
