 Nguyen Viet Dung has dedicated the past two decades to promoting community empowerment and social impact. He holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of Health Management from the University of New South Wales in Australia, as well as a background in International Law from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

Viet Dung began his career with the Ministry of Health, where he coordinated national communications and health promotion initiatives. He also engaged in local and global policy advocacy, fundraising, international relations and negotiations, and organized study tours between Vietnamese and international governments. Following this, he worked with various international non-governmental organizations in areas such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, tuberculosis, hypertension, school sanitation, road safety, and STEM education.

Most recently, Viet Dung served as the Executive Director of Loreto Vietnam, an Australian NGO that supports over 100,000 students, including 5,000 children with special needs, in accessing quality education and empowering them to transform their futures and communities. Loreto Vietnam has also helped build over 100 schools, friendly libraries, school sanitation programs, and computer rooms across seven provinces in the country.

Here at Fulbright University Vietnam, in addition to managing the YSEALI Academy, Viet Dung is leading the Development and Strategic Initiatives Office. In this role, he works with a wide range of stakeholders to identify fundraising and partnership opportunities related to campus development, academic excellence and strategic programs.

Viet Dung takes great pride in being a dedicated friend and advocate for the students he has worked with over the years. He is fully committed to promoting and fighting for students' rights, and inspiring others to join him in delivering impactful liberal arts education programs that maximize the potential and innovation of Vietnamese youth.
