Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang Nhung, Ph.D., senior lecturer in Hanoi University of Public Health, also affiliated with the Training and Research Institute for Child Health, Vietnam National of Public Health. She is also a collaborator of Global Burden of Diseases of Health, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Ms Nhung got Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars for her Ph.D. in University of Basel with entitled “Air pollution in Hanoi, Vietnam: Evaluating effects on hospital admission for children”. Hereafter, she had participated to research on health impact of ambient air pollution.

She is leader a research team, mainly working on health impact of air pollution on human health in Vietnam. Her team has published a series paper about the association between exposure to ambient air pollutants, particular in children, in Northern Vietnam. Now, the team has estimated the burden of deaths due to exposure to PM25 and NO2 for Vietnam.
