Director of Partnerships and Strategy - KOTO Social Enterprise 

From a humble beginning as a street kid, Huong made her way to Melbourne via a scholarship and was honored as Victoria’s International Student of the Year with a $20,000 scholarship. Huong completed a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Huong founded HopeBox Social Enterprise in 2018, a not for profit transitional work-based therapy model that provides employment, training and opportunities to victims of gender based violence. Alongside, she is also the Director of Partnerships and Strategy for KOTO - a not for profit social enterprise providing hospitality training, English and life skills training to at-risk kids and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam. In 2021, Huong was recognised as the winner of Women of the Future under the category of Social Entrepreneur.

Her mission is to empower victims of domestic violence and help lift them out of violence situations. She is passionate in social enterprise and education because she believes in innovative approaches that can solve social problems. Her vision is to leave no kids and women behind because of domestic violence.

About HopeBox:

HopeBox is a social enterprise creating employment opportunities and training for women who have experienced gender based violence in Vietnam.

We run a 6-month course called “women economic empowerment and capacity building” for our women and help them transition from violence backgrounds into workforce readiness, financially independent and integration into a new life. We provide

We have a production kitchen that produces cookies and kitchenware merchandise, our products are distributed amongst cafes, supermarkets like AEON MALL and we provide gift boxes to corporate customers like Allens, Vietnam Airlines, UniQlo etc.
