In recent years, Tung earned a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, where he deepened his expertise in mental health and counseling. Prior to that, he pursued a Master of Science in Applicable Mathematics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), honing his skills in mathematics and its practical applications.
Before venturing into the world of counseling and education, Tung embarked on his academic path with a Bachelor of Mathematics and Management Studies from University College London. Though he excelled as a Mathematics major, his compassionate nature led him to explore the realm of social impact.
Tung's journey into the realm of social impact began when he decided to become a teacher while simultaneously working on his own community impact projects. This path eventually led him to become an integral part of Beautiful Mind Vietnam, a pioneering community mental health project. Through his contributions to this initiative, Tung has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries in Vietnam.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to mental health and social impact, Tung was awarded a scholarship by the Fulbright Program. He utilized this opportunity to pursue a Master's in Counseling Psychology at Columbia University, during which he faced the additional challenges posed by the global pandemic of COVID-19. Despite these difficulties, Tung's determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his mission made his experience both demanding and profoundly rewarding.
As an alumnus of the Fulbright Program, Tung shares its mission with the YSEALI Academy, embracing the vision of inspiring and educating young leaders in the region through cultural and educational exchange.
