On November 26, our Public Policy fellows had a great time in the Opening Ceremony! The 2023 YSEALI Academy Public Policy Seminar titled “From Geopolitics to Geoeconomics: Southeast Asia in the whirlwind of global competition” officially started with the memorable Opening Ceremony at Fulbright University Vietnam.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ambassador Yohannes Abraham from the U.S. Mission to ASEAN and Dr. Scott Fritzen, the President of Fulbright University Vietnam, who delivered warm and insightful welcome remarks. The ceremony not only marked the official commencement of the seminar but also set the stage to exchange knowledge and friendship.
The fellows brighten up the atmosphere of Fulbright University Vietnam with their youthful and energetic spirits as they exchange ideas and laughter during their time there. Though coming from different places across Southeast Asia, their worlds soon converge: “your world is also my world!” This feeling captures what the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is all about. It brings together these up-and-coming leaders with a common goal: making positive changes in Southeast Asia.
As the fellows embark on this transformative journey, they are not merely participants but integral members of a larger YSEALI family. Welcome our 34 talented fellows to big Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative family!
